🏛️ Operated by: Bank persepsi (appointed state revenue collecting bank) / Satpas payment counter
⏱️ Estimated time: Per transaction

The cost of issuing and renewing a SIM (Surat Izin Mengemudi — the Indonesian driving licence) is Penerimaan Negara Bukan Pajak (PNBP — non-tax state revenue) paid into the State Treasury. The amounts are set nationally and do not differ between provinces, including in Central Kalimantan.

Components Outside the PNBP

In addition to the PNBP, applicants bear costs that are not state revenue and whose amounts may differ between providers:

  • Physical fitness test, paid to the provider of the medical examination
  • Psychological test, paid to the provider of the test

Neither component forms part of the PNBP tariff, and their amounts are not regulated in the PNBP tariff regulation of Polri (the Indonesian National Police). The total may therefore differ between service locations.

How to Read the Cost Breakdown

The details in the table below are the PNBP tariffs for each SIM class. The tariff for issuing a new SIM and the tariff for renewal are set separately, so make sure you read the row that matches the service you are applying for.

Warning

Payment is made only through an official counter or a bank persepsi (an appointed state revenue collecting bank), and is always accompanied by a deposit receipt. There are no official additional charges beyond the components above. A request for payment outside the official counters, whatever the amount, has no legal basis.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Are there medical and psychological test fees outside the PNBP?

Yes. The medical and psychological tests are administered by verified independent institutions, and their fees are separate from the Polri PNBP.

Where is the PNBP payment deposited?

The PNBP is deposited directly into the State Treasury (Kas Negara) through a bank persepsi located within the Satpas area or through official digital channels.

Is there an extra charge for printing the SIM?

No. The official PNBP tariff already covers the cost of printing the SIM card blank.
